Show Notes

Grab your favorite cocktail or drink and sit back with Lenya and Alexandra as they talk to Sarah Khan about why she left law school to become a therapist and comedian. Sarah joins the podcast to talk about rebellion, from religion, and from this misogynistic society. All three share their most embarrassing vomit stories, as well as commiserate about men, relationships, dating, family, and more. Sarah Khan is a Pakistani-Muslim, 1st generation, Los Angeles Native. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Political Science from UCLA and is a recent law school drop-out. Six weeks into law school, she made the jump without a parachute, and decided to do a solo (first time) trip to New York City. During her trip, she realized she wanted to help people in a more direct, immediate, and intimate way and is now pursuing a master’s in marriage and family therapy. Besides her educational pursuits, she works for a nonprofit org helping other people find jobs by day, and practices her stand up comedy routines by night. Formula 1 with SteF1

The all F1 episode is finally here! Lenya brought on Steph from the All About SteF1 YouTube channel to school Alexandra on all the drama, drivers, trophies, and shenanigans that is the wild world of Formula 1. It’s not just race cars though. These women also discuss how race is and isn’t represented in motorsports, just as how femininity is also notably missing, as well as the ecological impact of the cars and the transportation to make this “worldwide” sport happen. From Steph’s YouTube description: “Hi all! I am Steph and welcome to my little corner of the internet where I talk about all things motorsport! I am obsessed with F1, so that's the main one, but stay tuned for more content coming on lower formulas, Formula E and MotoGP! :) :)” Links from our discussion: [All About SteF1 - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/c/AllAboutSteF1/featured) [Formula 1: Drive To Survive - Netflix](https://www.netflix.com/title/80204890) -- Please **rate and review** this podcast if you enjoyed it; reviews greatly help new listeners see this podcast is worth their time. What Doing The Work Feels Like

And both describe how they have been using social media to engage and distance themselves from what they need to. -- **We want to hear from you!** Let us know how you’re speaking about these issues with your friends. **Let us know what topics you want to hear!** Email us at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) You can find us at: [WomenBridgingtheGap.com](https://womenbridgingthegap.com)  Lenya’s Tik Tok: [@lenya_styles](https://www.tiktok.com/@lenya_styles) Or on Instagram: * Find Lenya at: [@lenya_styles](https://www.instagram.com/lenya_styles) * And Alexandra at: [@a_xandra17](https://www.instagram.com/a_xandra17) and [@thewritingleap](https://www.instagram.com/thewritingleap) * And the show is at: [@women_bridging_the_gap](https://www.instagram.com/women_bridging_the_gap/) This podcast was edited by Brendan Hutchins from Podcast Advocate.
